About Me
My fascination with fashion began as a girl, as it does for many young people regardless of generation, gender, or geography. However, pursuing a career as a clothing designer, model, or fashion journalist didn’t seem promising, as my innate talents were better suited to academic pursuits. Fortunately, my university offered a degree in fashion merchandising – eureka! I’d found a perfect solution: a career in fashion and business.
After a fulfilling career in retailing and academia, I eagerly looked forward to the less demanding pursuits of reading, writing, and traveling. DressDiversions grew out of my desire to learn, be creative, and embrace discovery – Dress, because of a desire to continue understanding the role clothing and appearance play in our everyday lives, and Diversions, because of a desire to explore and feed my curiosity about related or completely new topics.
Ultimately, I’m sharing bits and pieces of my life from the past and as it unfolds today.
